A little about us & what we love...

Desiré: pleasant & accountable

Who is Desiré? Desirè is an experienced traveler and property manager from Porto Alegre, Brazil. She arrived to the United States over ten years ago with a job to manage and maintain a multi-million dollar property [that is now a long-term S&D client] in Colorado. She moved on to other properties, spending several years living on-site in Hawaii, San Diego, Rhode Island and Colorado. Desiré earned her experience and trust in managing fully furnished homes, including the care of client's pets. She has also managed renovation, cleaning, landscaping & pool services. 

 

She eventually moved on from caretaking children, pets, and living on-site so she could travel more. She started her own Airbnb listing while shifting to remotely manage these larger properties for the families that just couldn't let her go. Of course, she quickly became a Super-host. Many of the properties Desirè managed are now long-term clients and proud supporters of S&D. 

 

It was in San Diego that she met Sailia. The two complimented each other when discussing skillsets and both shared a vision. Desirè decided to co-found S&D Co. with Sailia. The two were a perfect fit for a tailored luxury property management company. 

Who are we? Sailia & Desiré Co. is a small business that chooses to manage only a few properties at a time. We believe quality is better than quantity when it comes to property management. We choose to specialize in the individualized needs of our clients. We physically show up to manage renovation projects and large events. Setting up and overseeing general STR services, staging and photographing your property, creating and managing listings, etc. We physically check in on your property to make sure everything is running smoothly. Let us design a contract that works for you. We understand your time and money are precious factors. We take your fears and concerns into consideration. We value trust and integrity, committing to take care of your property as we would our own. We love what we do and your success is ours. We've partnered with an award-winning Luxury event coordinator, Rachel Koger. She is the founder and Luxury event coordinator of Cosè Bella, specializing in fabulous New England Weddings. Cosé Bella is based in Rhode Island but has done luxury events in destinations throughout Southern California and Puerto Rico. We have worked with Cosè Bella to host weddings, bridal showers, bachelor[ette] events, rehearsals and more. Rachel is also our main designer and coordinator for staging our properties. Cosè Bella is here for our clients, whether it be to prepare a property for photographs or to use your property as an event venue rather than solely as a short-term or long-term rental property.

Insurance that extends beyond Airbnb.

We love Airbnb. We do a lot of our business through Airbnb and highly recommend it. However, we also know the business and can let you on how it works. Airbnb makes most of its money through the fees that guests pay during check out. That means that the "smart rate" option Airbnb raises and lowers for you doesn't actually affect their profit margin- and so they aren't as worried about getting you the most money for your bookings...they generally benefit the same regardless of how much you profit per night. And, because they profit most by charging guests- they're most likely to side with a guest over a host when there is a debatable issue. This is just a snippet of the security and knowledge we can provide- along with our own insurance that will protect you if Airbnb doesn't. 

Sailia:

Who is Sailia? Sailia is an established business owner & artist from Bristol, Rhode Island. As a creative young girl, she began by helping her mother to renovate around the house. With exquisite taste and nearly no budget, Sailia had a gift of seeing potential in using what was there and making it beautiful. Soon, her mother's friends and the locals around town were asking for Sailia to do all kinds of odd renovation projects- many of which contractors deemed hopeless to rehabilitate. She continued to impress. Her love for business, travel, and artistic detail were the key ingredients for a unique property management company. 

 

Sailia's focus is to enhance a property as it is a unique work of art. Particular enhancements to stage your space will create a seamless, unforgettable experience inside your home. We manage properties in some of the most beautiful places in the United States as well as a few properties internationally.
